Let's Join Ummaland : A New Social Network For Muslims :)

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim. Sollu 'alan Nabi.   Assalamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, I am very excited to be able to reach you with some exciting news today! My name is Maruf and I am one of the co-founders of www.ummaland.com. For those who don't know  about Ummaland, it  is a new social network for Muslims and for those who want to learn about the true beauty of Islam. Now you may be thinking, “I am already on Facebook, Twitter and Google+, why would I need another social network?” That is a good question! Let’s explore it... Each of you represents a part of an ummah which is thirsty for Islamic knowledge and would like to change the Muslim ummah with a brilliant mind. May Allah increase us in knowledge that is beneficial. Ameen. Dr. Bilal Philips through establishing Islamic Online University (IOU)has taken a gigantic step in helping the ummah to attain this goal by providing TUITION FREE Islamic Education to anyone on the planet who wishes to learn AUTHENTIC ISLAMIC KNOWLEDGE and has access to a computer and the internet. Another BIG STEP is in creating a social network that is exclusively concerned with Islamic content. Let me ask you first: How many times did you end up wasting your time (sometimes hours) checking some trivial posts on Facebook? Even worse, it is from some people you barely know. You said “Oh, my God. I wasted so much time!” Unfortunately, it happens often on these social networks and guess what, you are not the only one! :) What if there was a social network without small talk, gossip, boasting and harmful content and ads? What if there was a social network... ·  that enabled us to grow in faith (eeman) and in knowledge (ilm) that is beneficial for us here and in the hereafter? ·  to inspire us all to be a better Muslims and help others? ·  for Muslims to socialise, entertain and have fun in an Islamic way?  As Muslims, we believe that no matter what we say or do, we should always try to seek the pleasure of our Creator, even when we are socialising. Is it not the main reason why we are here?  We believe if you really want to change your behaviour (wasting time), you should change the environment also...the friends you hang out with, the movies you watch and all the things you are surrounded by will shape you.  This is why we are building  www.ummaland.com with Islamic values. On Ummaland, we are connected to each other by being a member of the Muslim ummah which goes beyond national borders, races and cultures and expands around the globe...hence the name Ummaland...to unite as one, enjoy and promote good, and forbid evil as well as show the real beauty of Islam.
